Athalassa National Forest Park

It is situated south of Nicosia and it is surrounded by the suburbs of Aglantzia, Strovolos and Latsia. Apart from its major role as a green place/ area it also provides other similar facilities such as recreation, aesthetics, exercise, environmental education/training etc.
The park has two picnic areas, roads, bicycle tracks, pedestrian lanes, sports grounds, parking places, an Environmental Information Centre, a bird observation point at the Athalassa Dam, botanical garden, dog walking path etc.

This is not the official 5BFF website however i felt like i should write some things regarding the Flora and Fauna of Cyprus and also the wwff activity in Cyprus

Cyprus is an island in the mediteranian. It was created by the colision of two tektonic plates which led a part of the sea crest to arrise from the sea (like legend has it Aphrodite arose from the sea) 

This fact makes the central mountain of Cyprus, Troodos very unique because of the rocks . many geologists prefer to study the rocks of the sea floor on the mountain instead of having to scuba-dive to get some samples.

IARU Region 1 - UHF Channels

Τα UHF στα 70cm είναι μια μπάντα που συναντάς πολλές λειτουργίες κυρίως ψηφιακές. Επίσης συχνότητες ελεύθερες για χρήση μέχρι 400mW (PMR446).Και τηλεοπτικές. Είναι μια μπάντα επιρρεπής σε absortions και reflections λόγω μικρότερου μήκους κύματος άρα έχει πιο μικρή εμβέλεια .Το IARU άλλαξε τo step των καναλιών σε 12.5KHz.  Πρέπει να σημειωθεί ότι η ραδιοερασιτεχνική μπάντα ξεκινά από τα 430MHz -440MHz
